Bachelor of Divinity at University of Wales Lampeter

Tuesday, March 17th, 2009

The Bachelor of Divinity (BD) degree is unique in University of Wales to Lampeter. It is a course forstudents who wish all their studies to be in the area of Christian Theology. The modules included in the BD are all available in the BA degree in Theology and the essential difference between the two degrees is that the BD is a ‘Table d’hôte menu’, whilst the BA is an ‘A la Carte menu’. In other words while BA Theology students may choose 40 credits of their first year modules from any modules in the University, the BD courses are all prescribed and the only choice to be made is which Biblical language to study. The structure of this programme and the modules it offers can be found in our departmental handbooks.
